Course creation and management
In this article, we’ll walk you through each step of the course creation process in Insendi and how to configure it. We’ll also detail its settings.
Creating a course
To create a course, you must be on the 'All courses' page and click on the '+ Add course' button. A modal will then open where you must add a name for the course — this is the only mandatory field. You can also add an image, code, or tag if you wish, but these are optional.
Managing courses
In the 'Settings' drop-down menu of the course, you can perform several actions, such as duplicating the course, sharing with other institutions, editing, and deleting it.
From this menu, you can also access the 'Analytics' section, where you will find a graph that displays the activity completion rate (vertical axis) in relation to progress by modules/pages (horizontal axis), offering a visual comparison between an individual student’s performance and the class average.
The turquoise line represents the progress of the selected student.
The purple line indicates the overall class average.
Additionally, the graph shows the student's most recent interaction with the course content, providing insight into their level of engagement.
There is also an option to download the data as a spreadsheet, allowing for deeper analysis or record-keeping outside the platform. This section also includes the option to send email communications directly to students.
In the course Settings, you'll also find the 'Reports' section, which provides CSV-format reports on the course's multimedia files and a detailed breakdown of all course activities, including submission counts, the course reference and title, and the reference and title of each specific activity.
