Page creation and management
In this article, we will go over the page creation process in Insendi and how to set it up. We will also show how to add content to it.
Creating a page
It is possible to create a page using three different options: from the drop-down menu within the module, from the module´s settings, and the bottom of the last existing page within the module.
Whether from the drop-down menu or the settings of the module, if you select the 'Create another page' option, you will stay in the modal instead of being redirected to the newly created page. This allows you to keep creating pages without interruption.
Managing pages
From the module settings, you can also copy, delete, and sort pages. However, to edit the page title, you need to enable the 'Edit mode' toggle at the top right within the page.
Designing the page content
Enabling the 'Edit mode' toggle within the page gives you access to the Insendi RTE toolbar (rich text editor) and the activities library. The RTE toolbar allows you to create an engaging learning experience by formatting content, adding media, and accessing the activities library. Insendi’s activities offer a variety of interactive pedagogical tools that help boost student participation and enhance the achievement of learning outcomes.
Remember to click 'Save' to apply your changes.
To learn how to build each type of activity, please refer to the Insendi activities section. To learn more about the rich text editor options, please visit the RTE toolbar article.
Page history
Once a page contains content, enabling the 'Edit mode' toggle will reveal the 'View history' button. Clicking this button opens a pop-up window showing the page’s full version history. This includes a list of all saved versions, along with the author and timestamp for each. You can also preview the content of any version.
Please note:
The 'View history' button is only available if the page has been edited; it won’t appear for newly created or copied pages with no changes.
It does not include a history of activity content; therefore, changes saved only within an activity do not create a new version in the page history. However, previous versions of the page include the activities that existed at that time, in the state and with the content they had when they were last saved.
A maximum of 50 versions is retained. When this limit is reached, the oldest versions are automatically replaced.
Restoring a version is very simple. When the version to restore has been identified, select that version and then press the 'Load version' button. A green banner with a message will be displayed at the top of the screen indicating that the version has been loaded successfully.
