Learning outcomes - legacy version
What is it?
This is a Learning outcomes activity. We always suggest adding this to the start of each week to explain to students the learning that will take place in the week. You should also link this activity to the end of the week, and enable the student input to allow students to feedback on the learning outcomes.
What is it useful for?
Informing students of the learning for a week, and gaining insight as to the students' understanding of the content studied.
Always add this at the start and end of a week.
*Please note this activity was replaced by the new ‘Learning Outcomes' activity.

How it looks on the Platform:
It can be found in the 'Add activity' section after you enter 'Edit' mode.
After adding the new Activity, you can start to set it up:
You can easily add an outcome by writing it in the text box and then hitting the 'Add' button below. Two outcomes are displayed by default, they can be modified, or deleted by clicking on the X to their right.
At this point, builders must decide if they want the learning outcomes to be displayed only, as an announcement, or if students' interaction is needed. That is what the 'Student input' toggle is for.
How it looks on the Platform (Student view):
This is how the activity will be displayed if the 'Student input' toggle remains disabled, showing the learning outcomes as information only.
And this is how it will look like if the toggle has been enabled.
This will allow students to give their opinion on the estimated time by choosing one of the pre-established options, as well as provide a comment and mark their level of confidence with respect to the learning outcomes.
