What is it?

The Video player allows you to embed a Dacast, Youtube video, Vimeo video, Vimeo showcase, Panopto video or Kaltura video into your content. You can also set a start time or an unlock code, which is often used for timed or conditional feedback.

The Video player is great for integrating external videos into your platform, providing context for concepts, or showcasing case studies.

The unlock code feature is particularly useful when you want to restrict access to the video until students have completed the previous activity. You can include the unlock code in the feedback of the prior activity to control when the video becomes accessible.

How to build

In the first instance, activate the 'Edit' mode, then select the 'Add activity' option and search for 'Video player'.

Open
